Leo*Leo Challenges Local Music Scene to Come together to Support the Animal Rescue League Benefit, All Ages Shows, Nov. 29th 4-6,6-8pm @Midway Cafe

Our cockatiel, Meegs, is one of the best parts of our day.

He (Meegs is pictured below on Sarah Hope’s head in the accompanying graphic) is also one of 3 reasons why Leo*Leo is honored to play a show benefitting the Animal Rescue League of Boston. The other two reasons are Sarah Hope’s Sophia, the dutch shepherd mix (also pictured) and Vanessa Wheeler’s Basil, chihuahua/terrier (pictured and you can see her all over our instagram).

This event is to invite all of Boston residents, of course,  with a strong focus on our local musicians.  We are challenging favorite local acts to support “giving back” to the community by attending the show, donating, or helping us publicize this event!  How incredible to sell out the intimate show and have members of performers like, but not limited to: Nemes, Radclyffe Hall Music, Lake Street Dive, DJ Leah, Air Traffic Controller , Grey Season, Tales of Olde, CalvinBall, Blkbx Blkbx , American Echoes, and The Dejas mingling amongst folks that support their music?  Music Box Pete, in his podcast, spoke about how Bands in Boston are supportive of one another.  We believe this and invite them all to join us in giving back.  Leo*Leo will be adding an additional donation on top of what the event makes.

Please join us Nov. 29th in celebration of the Animal Rescue League of Boston. This is an all ages show at The Midway Cafe in Jamaic Plain, Massachsetts. We picked this place because there is plenty of free parking, public transportation and the venue has long been a supporter of the community.

DETAILS:

1.  The Dejas will be joining us for both shows- playing from their classic sets AND the upcoming album!

2.  Please bring items to donate in our bins such as : blankets, towels, cat/dog toys, brushes.

3.  You may also donate from Animal Rescue League’s Amazon wish list.  You may send the order to our offices (we will donate them the day of the Benefit, in your name!)

Boston Mag Spotlights Leo*Leo

This month has been incredible to us.
Firstly, we are playing this Wednesday in Salem, Massachusetts at the Opus (show begins at 9p.m.) which is hosted by the very passionate: The Dejas.

Secondly, we are playing with The Grey Season and Tales of Olde for Tales’ CD release party (May 28th, @ The Great Scott)! Amazing.

Thirdly, our newest single is doing really well. Also, you can buy our first EP – for whatever amount you want to pay. Seriously! If you can only pay $2 for the entire album then do that! We just want you to have it.
Thank you, friends, family and #BostonFans.

Fourthly, We got a great little article written about us in Boston’s own, Natural Awakenings Magazine gave us the honor of being their first Artist Spotlight ever!  Thank you so much to Maisie and Nancy for selecting us.  We are thrilled!

and FRESH INDEPENDENCE is publishing our interview May 26th!
We are super grateful to everyone that has been out to our shows this month, too – especially our Somerville crowd. We notice 🙂
