Leo*Leo – We’ve Been Offline but In-Tune

It is February. Two of the three Leo Leo team mates have been steadily making their way from Boston, Massachusetts to the sweet ocean balconies of Santa Cruz, California – in a Toyota Prius (email us if you’re interested in our experience with this car).

During the months of December and February, Monica Riehl (Business Development) and Sarah Hope (drummer/Producer/Keys) drove to the west coast TWICE, literally through snow, sleet, and rain. The goal was to move Leo Leo operations temporarily to the arms of sun and surf. Since we are a small, self-funded band/label – we had to devise a plan for getting Sophia, Meegs & all of the studio equipment from Right to Left (as you view a map) – with the tiniest amount of $$$ spent.  Happy to report that we all made it.

That being said, we’ve been behind on a lot of online content and conversations.  We had a great run- selling out the Sinclair 2x as part of terrific, local Bills; selling another song into the scheme of reality t.v.; negotiating terms with 2 brands, GOOGLE corporate show, interest from investors for our company, and meeting several beautiful people that have reached out – after finding us on PANDORA.  We are grateful and also, we bit off more than we can chew.

As we get back on track we have some exciting things beginning on the West Coast :  1.  Radio partnership with KCSB   2.  Endorsement Meeting Feb 20th ( we will let you know who – after we have the meeting 😉 )  3.  Beginning discussions with CAA, in L.A. (<— this one is going to take a lot of communication and please send us great thoughts) and Monica continues to work on spreading Leo Leo’s work, while V doodles new music on her pink guitar and Sarah Hope branches out into playing piano – live.

East coast projects will include donating music to an Ovarian Cancer Awareness group, performing live on WERS, and returning to Philadelphia for a show with two of our own favorite bands (ahem, we won’t mention them now until they confirm! 🙂 )

thank you to our friends and family that aided our move across the country – and for those others that have been patient as pie with the process :)))))))

We will send out GOOGLE videos to our email listers and also send you a way to connect with us personally on facebook to hear our newest music.

So Much Love,

Sound of Boston Review on Leo*Leo Album

Recently we’ve been communicating with press about QUATRO (4)  incredible events:

1.  Musicologists are naming a new music genre specifically to describe the sound of our album, Side One!  We will let you know as more develops to name Leo*Leo the creators of Nova Rock: a blend of Bossa Nova Jazz, Soul & Indie Rock (or rock and roll).

2.  Word is getting out about our exciting upcoming mini-tour to D.C., Philly, and NYC – as we open up the stage for the talented & socially conscious, Dispatch front man, Chadwick Stokes.  Join us Saturday, Nov. 1st for the 6th Annual 5K & after show in support of CALLINGALLCROWS.org  – Donate a few dollars through Leo*Leo’s Team Page and come watch us play an acoustic-ish set :))))))).

3.  WERS 88.9 FM is recording a session with us tomorrow – to be played during regular station programming!  Tweet them (@WERS889FM) and tell them you can’t wait to hear us on your favorite college radio station!

4. Imagine our excitement when leading local indie music blog, Sound of Boston, reached out to let us know they had reviewed our EP, Side One!  We are grateful to have received their ears on our music notes.  Special thanks goes out to Anastasia Antonova, the reviewer.  Additionally, they’ve added us to their Local playlist (bottom right corner of the article, scroll down to click on our song, Fever) !

Please reach out to them on Twitter @SoundOfBoston to give your feedback on the review.  Also, feel free to talk with us, too (@LeoLeoBand), over Twitter, Instagram (@LeoLeoBand) or soundcloud ( we just released song stems for producers & DJ’s).  We love hearing from you.
